Recently, a pregnant student asked what she could eat to start the day that is quick,tasty and nutritious. Here is my recipe for my morning shake that I drink daily to jump start my day.

Antioxidant Smoothie

1 medium banana
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
2 TBS ground flaxseed
1/2 raw avocado
1 cup Sunrise Grower Organic Mixed Berries
2 cups Earthbound Organic Deep Green Blends
2 TBS Nutribiotic Rice Protein Powder

The organic mixed berries and greens are available at Costco. Although purchased fresh, I put the greens in the freezer.I mix all these ingredients in a Nutribullet, but I imagine it will mix well in any blender. This shake tastes great,takes 3 minutes to make, travels easily and offers so much nutrition in one glass. Try it-you’ll love it. (Pregnant or not)
