Holistic Childbirth

Holistic Beginnings® Childbirth & Doula Services in Morris County, NJ provides a variety of services to help guide clients through a healthy pregnancy and birth. Compassionate support through pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum are offered as part of our services. Information and resources are provided to clients to assist in gaining information for their family.

Pregnancy and Childbirth Classes

Several class options are offered virtually area. Group holistic courses include everything a couple needs to know about healthy pregnancy, including nutrition, the physiology of pregnancy, coaching through labor, natural pain management, relaxation exercises, newborn care, and postpartum preparation. In addition to group classes, private classes and online childbirth courses are offered.

Childbirth (Labor) Doula and Postpartum Doula Services

A doula provides emotional support to a woman throughout her labor. Labor services include prenatal visits, phone consultations, and support during active labor through birth and a postpartum visit. Postpartum doula services are available at an hourly rate for postpartum care while mothers are learning how to navigate the fourth trimester. Answering questions and offering non-judgmental support and reassurance allows the mother to ease into her new role with confidence.

Doula Training

Have you ever thought of becoming a doula? Each year the need for qualified doulas grow as more women learn about the importance of labor support to help them through the birth process. Join Laura DePasquale for a DONA approved Birth Doula Workshop and certify through the largest and oldest doula organization in the world.

About Me

Laura DePasquale

LCCE, CD, PCD, BDT(DONA), CLC

Laura has had a passion for birthing and babies since having her first child, and has had the training and credentials to match that passion.

She became a Certified Childbirth Educator in 1991 through the Bradley Academy of Husband Coached Childbirth®. In 2005, Laura then became certified through Lamaze International®.

 Laura is also trained and certified through DONA International ® as a birth doula and as a postpartum doula. She has had the honor of attending over 1000 births. She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor providing expert lactation advice to new families.She has had the pleasure of consulting and teaching childbirth preparation and lactation classes to thousands of couples.Laura is also an DONA® approved Birth Doula trainer who has trained over 1500 doulas throughout the United States.

Laura’s philosophy is that each birth is a unique and sacred event. She supports the needs of families throughout their pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum without judgement. Through Laura’s expertise, each person learns to find their way through pregnancy and birth with a feeling of calmness and understanding. She looks forward to assisting you with your journey into parenthood.

Laura did all of this and so much more! Her birthing class and lactation classes were extremely informative and she provided us with additional resources that we reviewed as part of our preparation. In the end, my labor went extremely fast, so we did not use many of the materials that we had planned to use, but Laura was an expert in knowing what to do to guide us through it.
