Laura is an instructor with a natural talent for captivating the room and keeping each student involved. Each day at the end of class, I left feeling inspired and eager to learn more. Rather than passively lecture the group, she keeps a lively energy in the room where everyone is involved in a guided discussion. Her hands-on approach to using activities designed to simulate actual birth experiences made me feel transported and prepared to work with families. Her teaching style radiates her years of experience and her true passion for what she does. She reinforced the notion I had before attending the class that everything a doula does must come from the heart and a genuine place of caring for clients.
